SFA Homecoming

SFA Homecoming is one of the most exciting and cherished traditions at Stephen F. Austin State University. Every October, Nacogdoches transforms into a sea of purple as students, alumni, and locals come together for a week of events that showcase the best of SFA pride. Organized by AXEperience—a student-run group that promotes SFA’s history and traditions—in collaboration with the SFA Alumni Association, this annual event is packed with activities, like high-energy concerts, dazzling fireworks, a lively downtown parade, and the ever-popular bonfire.

Visitors can also enjoy a 5K race, tailgating before the big football game, and the crowning of the Homecoming Court. SFA Homecoming is a time of giving back, with Spirit Service Week encouraging students to participate in donation drives and community service projects.
