Join us for a community-wide evening of music as we open the
holiday season with SFA's Music Preparatory Division and friends performing
selections from the timeless classic "The Nutcracker".
Celebrating the joy of the season, this event will showcase the dance and musical talents of many in our local community with special emphasis on students currently part of SFA Music Prep -- a non-profit, community-focused program dedicated to making music education accessible to anyone eager to learn to sing or play an instrument.
The orchestra that evening, under the direction of the beloved Dr. Gregory Grabowski, SFA's director of Orchestral Activities, brings together students, faculty members, and alumni of SFA's School of Music and Music Preparatory Division. Joined by ballet students from Gobel School of Dance, a mesmerizing musical backdrop will whisk you away as the orchestra brings Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's iconic score to life.
Proceeds from ticket sales go directly toward scholarships for SFA's Music Preparatory Division students, providing approximately $10,000 in scholarships annually.
