Celebrate National Trails Day with Nacogdoches Historic Sites! We are hosting a Hike through History, where we tour you around downtown Nacogdoches and a portion of the beautiful Lanana Creek Trail.
This year's Hike through History will start at the Nacogdoches Visitors Center. Sign-in will start at 7:45am and the group will head out at 8am. The hike will be lead by Jeff Abt, former president of Friends of Historic Nacogdoches, Inc. The hike will be slow-paced and around 1.75 miles long. Most of the hike is paved, with the exception of Lanana Creek Trail. Hikers are welcome to join for however long they would like to participate. Water stations will be available at a couple of locations throughout the hike.
